Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley presents

The Fabulous Thunderbirds

with special guest The Chase
$5 Friday Concert

For over 30 years, The Fabulous Thunderbirds have been the quintessential American band. The group’s distinctive and powerful sound, influenced by a diversity of musical styles, manifested itself into a unique musical hybrid via such barnburners as “Tuff Enuff,” “How Do You Spell Love,” “Wrap It Up,” and “Powerful Stuff.” Co-founder Kim Wilson, the sole original member, still spearheads the group as it evolves into its newest incarnation.

In 1979, The Fabulous Thunderbirds released their first self-titled album. Primarily blues influenced, it became a cult classic. The thread throughout the T-Birds career has been the respect the group commanded for its peerless musicianship and devotion to the sounds of blues, R & B and rock ‘n roll. In fact, Muddy Waters called Wilson his favorite harmonica player and vocalist. “Muddy Waters was very good to me,” Wilson says. “He almost adopted me. I’ll never forget him.”

The Chase

The Chase

Rock and Roll Energy. A powerful and totally entertaining rock and roll unit from Ashland, Kentucky…also known for having more fun than humanly possible. If the formula works—why mess with it! Twenty nine years after they first formed, the same core rock and roll values and principles still take to the stage with CHASE. The set list has changed a little to incorporate changing times, but the classic rock of the sixties, seventies, and eighties still pound out as solidly and tightly as they did back then.

The band is still made up of John, Jeff, Scott and Oz. Gary Donalson, a veteran keyboardist and vocalist was brought into the act in 2011. This incorporated a new dimension into the band having two keyboard players and two lead vocalists. The band and their audiences are still having a great time together…from Journey, Queen, Supertramp, The Who, Bon Jovi, Paul McCartney, the show is just as the band’s slogan has said for years…rock and roll energy! Audiences at fairs and festivals all over the east coast and Midwest have had a great time with CHASE, send them home singing their favorites from the past. CHASE has rocked them all!
