DAVE KOZ CELEBRATES WITH “IF NOT FOR YOU”
Dave Koz launched a new initiative in Mid-February called “LOST KOZ,” special songs of Dave’s that no one has ever heard before. Over the next several months, he will be sharing songs from the “The Vault.” Written and Produced with Darren Rahn “IF NOT FOR YOU” is the first track from songs discovered by KOZ that were recorded over the years but have yet to be released. Koz, a nine‐time Grammy nominated jazz saxophonist, recently starred as himself in Hallmark TV’s Christmas film, Sharing Christmas.

This track is co-written and produced with Darren Rahn. Darren and Dave co wrote the hit song “Life In The Fast Lane.” Featured as a bonus track on Dave’s Greatest Hits 2008, Darren continues as latest in a long list of artists with whom Koz has collaborated over the years: Foo Fighters (Dave is featured on their newest album Concrete and Gold) , Celine Dion, U2, Stevie Wonder, Burt Bacharach, Ray Charles, Natalie Cole, Gloria Estefan, Luther Vandross, Shelby Lynne, Kenny Loggins and Michael McDonald, to name a few. A platinum‐selling artist, Koz is also known as a humanitarian, entrepreneur, radio host and instrumental music advocate. Dave has raised over a half of a million dollars for the Starlight foundation. He produces two wines in partnership with premium Santa Barbara winemaker Terravant which are available at Whole Foods and online at http://www.davekoz.com and picked up Gold and Best of Class in the 2014 Los Angeles International Wine Competition. Additionally, Dave has hosted and produced 13 sold out Dave Koz & Friends At Sea cruises which spans the globe in pursuit of ‘seeing the world together through music.’ Dave also hosts the internationally syndicated Dave Koz Radio Show which has seen itself presented for over 20 years uninterrupted on the dial. Three years ago SiriusXM debuted The Dave Koz Lounge on Watercolors, Channel 66, a weekly Sunday jazz show. As part of his many entrepreneurial ventures, Dave is a partner in Citizen Beverly Hills, a bustling bar/restaurant/hot spot with an innovative shared‐plate menu in the heart of the Golden Triangle. Capitol Records released Dave Koz: Greatest Hits, his first ever retrospective album, in the fall of 2008 and it debuted at No. 1 on both Billboard’s Top Contemporary Jazz Albums chart and iTunes’ Jazz Album chart. Hello Tomorrow, Dave’s first album for Concord Records, debuted at No. 1 on both Billboard’s Top Contemporary Jazz Albums chart and iTunes’ Jazz Album chart, and was named Best Smooth Jazz Album of 2010 by iTunes. The CD was nominated for a GRAMMY® Award for Best Pop Instrumental Album. Live at the Blue Note Tokyo, Koz’s first live CD, was released by Concord Records in 2012 and received a GRAMMY® nomination for Best Pop Instrumental Album.
