Fraze Pavilion is pleased to announce that it reached the 22nd place on Pollstar Magazine’s Top 50 Worldwide Amphitheatre Venues, our highest ranking yet. Fraze Pavilion would like to thank all our fans for buying tickets in June 2011, which enabled us to reach this milestone. The ranking is based on overall tickets sold in the first half of 2011, and this year our fans have made a difference by supporting the shows of our 20th season!
Concerts by Alison Krauss & Union Station, The Beach Boys, The Lettermen, Earth Wind & Fire, Steve Miller, David Sanborn, k.d. lang, The Go-Go’s and The B-52s all helped secured our place in the magazine. We continued to add to this success with $2 and $5 events by Committed (with Fairmont High School’s Eleventh Hour), Jake & Elwood’s Blues Revue and Uriah Heep.
The first time Fraze Pavilion ranked as a Top 100 Amphitheater Worldwide based on tickets sold by Pollstar Magazine was in 2005. In 2009, our ranking was 51, and by the close of 2010, we broke the Top 50 and placed number 47 on the chart. Tickets sold so far this year have helped us jump 25 spots from 47 to 22!
The upward trend can continue. There are just a few weeks remaining in the 2011 summer concert season at Fraze Pavilion. Tickets still remain for The Stumps, Doobie Brothers and more. Thank you for celebrating our 20th Anniversary with us and continuing to support Southwest Ohio’s premier outdoor amphitheater!
