KETTERING – Happy 4th of July to my Fraze friends.

Enjoy your Independence Day then visit Fraze this weekend for even more fireworks, musical fireworks that is!

Saturday, July 5, at 7:30 p.m. it is Dave Koz Summer Horns with Alex Bugnon.

With the huge success and fan reception of the Summer Horns album and tour in 2013, Dave Koz and friends Mindi Abair, Gerald Albright and Richard Elliot are returning as the sax foursome for another tour in 2014.

In a recent interview, Koz explained how the inception of Summer Horns came about, saying the project, which pays tribute to iconic horn sections, “just came alive so effortlessly.”

“This has been one of those great tours that happen very rarely where just everything seems to fall into place,” Koz added in the interview. “Great personalities, great music to play, and that’s what the thing is, we all share – the four of us – truly share a respect for the music we’re playing, which is all a celebration of horns sections.”

It’s gonna be a blast.

The grand finale to the July 4th weekend is E, W & F on the Fraze stage Sunday, July 6.

Oh sorry, that’s ‘Earth, Wind & Fire.

This American band has spanned the musical genres of R&B, soul, jazz, pop, rock, funk, disco, Latin, African and gospel. Plus they are one of the most successful and critically acclaimed bands of the twentieth century.

Rolling Stone Magazine has described them as “innovative, precise yet sensual, calculated yet galvanizing” and has also declared that the band “changed the sound of black pop.”

And here’s what to expect, get a load of the wall to wall hits, “Shining Star,” “That’s the Way of the World,” “Devotion,” “Reasons,” “Sing a Song,” “Can’t Hide Love,” “Getaway,” “Fantasy,” “Love’s Holiday,” “September,” “Boogie Wonderland,” “After the Love Has Gone,” and “Let’s Groove.”
