January 27, 1968: Tracy Lee Lawrence is born in Atlanta, Texas

May 21, 1991: At age 23, Tracy signs recording contract with Atlantic Records

October 28, 1991: Tracy’s debut album, Sticks and Stones, is released.

January 25, 1992: “Sticks and Stones” becomes Tracy’s first #1 hit single!

March 9, 1993: Tracy’s second album, Alibis, is released.

May 1, 1993: “Alibis” rises to #1 on the country charts.

May 11, 1993: Tracy wins Top New Male Vocalist at the 28th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards.

September 20, 1994: The I See It Now album is released, featuring some of Tracy’s biggest hits including “If The World Had A Front Porch,” and “Texas Tornado.”

January 23, 1996: Tracy’s Time Marches On album is released. “Time Marches On” will go on to be a career-defining song for Tracy.

March 18, 1997: Atlantic releases Tracy’s album The Coast Is Clear, which includes “Better Man, Better Off,” and “How A Cowgirl Says Goodbye.”

September 20, 1994: Tracy releases “Better Man, Better Off” as a single and cuts off his signature mullet for the official music video.

February 1, 2000: Tracy’s sixth studio album, Lessons Learned, is released.

March 3, 2000: Time Marches On is certified double platinum by RIAA.

October 13, 2003: “Paint Me A Birmingham” is released as a single and goes on to reach #4 in May 2004 – Tracy’s first top 5 hit since “Lessons Learned” in 2000.

March 30, 2004: Tracy’s eighth studio album, Strong is released. The album includes Tracy’s iconic hit “Paint Me A Birmingham.”

August 21, 2006: Tracy releases “Find Out Who Your Friends Are.” Radio stations across the country begin playing the song that features vocals from Tracy’s good friends, Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney. The song reached #1 on Billboard Country Chart in June 2017.

January 30 2007: Tracy releases his ninth studio album, For The Love via his own label Rocky Comfort Records.

August 16 2007: Tracy enlists the help of more friends, George Jones and Darryl Worley, for the official music video to accompany “Find Out Who Your Friends Are.”

June 9 2009: Tracy releases The Rock, an album comprised of Christian music tracks. The Rock garnered Tracy his first GRAMMY nomination for Best Southern, Country or Bluegrass Gospel Album.

November 17 2017: Tracy releases Good Ole Days, an album featuring some of his biggest hits as collaborations with fellow artists like Tim McGraw, Luke Combs, Luke Bryan and more.

October 12 2018: Tracy releases a Christmas album titled Frozen In Time.

August 16 2019: Tracy releases “Made In America.”

April 23 2021: Tracy releases Hindsight 2020 Volume: Stairway to Heaven Highway to Hell. The album is the first of a three volume set to be released in 2021 to celebrate Tracy’s 30th year in the music industry.
